Send a good report
- In the app: Dog tab, then Send feedback. You can add a screenshot. The app also sends what it was doing just before (events and timings, never sound).
- Listening stopped on its own? Dog tab, then Listening stopped?. It adds what the app noticed. Tell us what you were doing, such as a call coming in or the phone locking.
- By email: tell us your iPhone model, iOS version, and what you were doing. A screenshot helps too.
Common questions
Listening stopped. What can I do?
- Phone calls, Siri, alarms and other apps that use the microphone can pause listening. Pawty tries to pick back up afterward. Open the app to check.
- Start a session from the Listen tab. Sessions are always started by you, so after a restart or a force-quit, start one again.
- Check that the microphone is on for Pawty in iPhone Settings.
- Leave the phone plugged in while it listens, so the battery isn't a worry.
- Then tell us with Listening stopped? in the Dog tab.
What does Pawty keep, and what does it drop?
Dog sounds are kept and synced to your account by default. Talking with no dog sound is dropped on your phone. If your dog makes a sound while someone is talking, we keep the dog sound and mark it as overlapping speech. Our server then removes the voice as well as it can and deletes the original clip. It may not catch every word. Details are in the privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Dog tab, Account, Delete account removes your dog's sounds, clips, tags, words, sessions, vet records and papers, your Dogodex and tricks, your profile and your sign-in, on your phone and our servers. You can also delete a single sound or record inside the app. If something won't delete, email us.
Can I stop an AI service reading my photos?
Yes: Dog tab, Account, switch off Claude reads photos. Then vet papers are typed in by hand and catches get no breed. Photos already read stay read.
Sign in with Apple isn't working.
Check your connection and that you're signed in to iCloud on the phone. Then try again. If it still fails, send feedback or email us with the time it happened.
A vet paper wasn't read right.
You review everything before it's saved, so you can fix or remove items. If a paper can't be read, add the items by hand. Tell us what kind of paper it was; it helps us improve.
